Aiistar 35mm f/2.8 MC Auto Lens M42 mount

Nice little lens, but I don't recommend it for digital cameras with reflective digital sensors (CANON!)

AiiStar 35mm f/2.8 MC I picked this lens up a while ago, however I have used it only once. I believe on a film camera, this lens would be excellent, however on my Canon 5DM2, I think that my sensor is simply too shiny and reflective for the level of Multicoating on this lens, so my images have a faint bright spot in the center of the images. Other than the digital sensor reflection phenomenon, which is more of a fault with the camera than the lens, this lens is fine for the price. Focus is smooth and aperture blades are perfect. The Auto/Manual selection works as it should, as well as the pin at the rear of the lens. Pardon my photography skills or lack of with the listed images. This was probably the most difficult thing that I have shot in a while. In the photos, I tried to focus on what I thought was dust or an imperfection in the glass. Whichever it is, this did not affect the image quality when I used the lens. Overall, I would rate the glass as an 8+, considering it is very clean and practically no dust or cleaning marks. Plese review the pictures and feel free to ask any questions. I believe this would make a great lens to match a film camera like a Mamiya Sekor DTL 1000, Vivitar 400/SL any other M42 film camera, or even munted to some other digital camera that doesn't have a full size shiny sensor.
